Discovering the Taijitu
Here's one of the fundamental truths of the universe...
Everything in life arises in duality.
In order to have day, there must be night. In order to have cold, we must have hot. In order to have good, we must have bad.
This is one of the deepest lessons a human being can ever learn, and yet how many people truly understand it?
How many people continue to supress, deny, and resist the negative... And continually strive for positive-positive-positive?
How many individuals believe PURELY in one side of life... And REFUSE to let in the other?
Let me explain the meaning behind a symbol I bet you know only too well...
Most people know it as the "Yin-Yang" symbol, but it's actual name is the taijitu.

Let me explain the meaning behind a symbol I bet you know only too well...
Most people know it as the "Yin-Yang" symbol, but it's actual name is the taijitu.
Apart from looking a "bit Eastern," have you ever wondered what this symbol really means?
It represents the concept of "Yin and Yang", which is ultimately the idea that everything arises in duality... and that you shouldn't resist the opposite, because it will always be there.
Look at the symbol.
The Yin (predominantly white segment) and the Yang (mainly black) are co-dependant. They cannot exist without each other. They do not exclude each other.
In fact, they support each other.
And look at the coloured dots within each. This represents the idea that part of yin is in yang, and part of yang is in yin. It represents a seed, a reminder that there is always trace of one within the other.
In bad, there is a trace of good. In masculine, there exists some feminine. In black, there exists some white. In the dark sky, there exist bright stars.
It reminds us that the potential for change is always present.
Have you ever put your hand in a freezing cold bath, only to pull it out sharply, thinking the water is boiling hot?
Even in cold, there is a potential for hot!
The two dualities are often closer than you think.
So the next time you find yourself trying to resist anything in life, step back and ask yourself whether you're really embracing the entire duality.
And if you're not... Consider it.

There you have a point... there are probably many many 'light warriors' and who ever who will always think to deny, to persist, to resist this part of universal truth..
I will go another step; our physical world is called a world of duality... there you have it.. Duality... Duality is the world in which we fight this and that, reject such and something, resist and persist parts of our physical frequency etc.. the word has it all; Duality
As long as we see our world as a world of duality, we will live in duality but...and as you know, there is always a 'But'... , when we embrace the whole concept instead of rejecting some parts we will suddenly live in a world of Polarity... Have you ever thought about that?? Lol..
A world of Polarity will mean that we embraced the whole concept, it means that harmony, responsibility, love, energy, non resistance, non persistance, clarity, are in full range and excist in our daily life, they are working together and are accepted as they are in harmony and peace... It will mean we will live in a totally different world from what we know today...

And the paradox is ultimately if everything is One(ness), then there is only non-dualism.

That is so true, I've studied acupressure and shiatsu, which teach a little about Taoism, which is where Yin/Yang came from - I'm a devout, if open-minded Christian who can accept the truth from all different philosophical teachers.
About the negatives and positives in life - I've just discovered an amazing truth that in order to get past the negatives we have to embrace them, accept them, then forgive the cause - whether we blame god, our parents or ourselves, we need to forgive completely which means to forgive forget and start from scratch.
There's a chinese philosophy that says basically that we should go with the flow of life. If we don't get upset over every little thing, and forgive the errors we make, and quit being so self critical and critical of others - we open the way for all of intentions to be manifested.
Very good post!

While I find your post interesting, I would just like to point out that Yin is the predominately black portion of the taijitu, and Yang is the white. A tiny major mix up. ;)
