Shine Brightly
Occasionally, I have one of those moments where I forget about the ordinary everyday clutter and start thinking about life, the universe and everything.
Do you have these moments too?
Yesterday, I started to think about what we humans are made of. Essentially, we are composed of the same material and elements that create the stars. Yes, it's absolutely true!
We are all effectively star children!
When you think about it, the fact that we are here at all is amazing. So amazing that you'd think we'd treasure each other and the world that we share.
In reality, we don't do enough to celebrate and protect the gift of life that we have. Just imagine how better the world could be if we did!
The fact that we are all children of the stars - an incredible assembly of chemicals and elements and particles - makes me realize how connected we are and what a difference we can make in the world.
It's in these moments when life starts to make real sense. All the little problems and frustrations of everyday life disappear. Instead, I'm left focusing on the potential of what it is to be human and what it is to be a child of the stars.
So, next time you look up on a clear night, just remember that you, too, are also a little star...
And have what it takes to shine brightly on this wonderful planet.

It's even better than that. We're made of stars. All the chemical elements heavier than hydrogen were made in a star, and anything heavier than iron was formed by a supernova. The atoms we're made of got blown out into space when a star died, and then slowly, slowly clumped together into new stars and planets. And the atoms on the surface of this planet go around and around. Maybe an atom in your nose used to be in Alexander the Great's horse!

Absolutely, sparklingly, creatively wonderful Karlos. Never thot of this and I love it. Shall share the idea, with some flourishes, when teaching my Yoga class on Tues and Thurs. It will work well for the ending when they lie down in Savasana (Corpse Pose which I prefer to call Sponge Pose !!) and I do a guided meditation for them. Loverly !!! Thank you.
Hugs and Starry Love
