The Final Test

It can take years to accomplish ambitions and dreams.

It can take years for a business to flourish and bloom.

But sometimes, it feels like success will never come.

If that sounds familiar ... stop for a moment.

You could actually be closer to success than what you think!

There's a saying that goes:

'The temptation to quit will be greatest just before you're about to succeed.'

There's a lot of truth in this.

Read any success story ... of entrepreneurs, sportspeople, authors, artists, scientists, or indeed anyone who has been on a journey to achieve something in their lives ... and you'll find plenty of examples of people saying just how close they were to giving up before finally achieving what they set out to do.

It's almost as if it's a final test ...

... to push that extra mile to see whether you really want to succeed. And if you stick to your path, you will end up victorious.

So, just remember that if you ever find yourself on the verge of giving up, you really could be closer than you think!

The Adventure of Life

I'm always curious to understand...

What makes a person risk their life for adventure?

Why do some people attempt to skydive over the North Pole or sail single handed around the world?

Here in the UK, mountain rescue teams are always on stand by as climbers get into difficulties on the snow-capped mountains of Scotland and Wales. Yet people seem to thrive on the adrenalin rush, no matter what the risk.

You see, life is for living and living an adventurous live is so much better than being a passive observer.

Author and Sailor Richard Bode puts it clearly in perspective:

"For the truth is that I already know as much about my fate as I need to know. The day will come when I will die. So the only matter of consequence before me is what I will do with my allotted time. I can remain on shore, paralysed with fear, or I can raise my sails and dip and soar in the breeze."

Karen Darke is a woman who has touched the lives of many through her spirit for adventure.

A keen mountaineer, she was paralysed in a traumatic rock-climbing accident on a Scottish sea cliff at the age of twenty-one.

Even though she had said that she would rather die than be paralysed, Karen chose to fight preconceived ideas of just what was possible for someone who was paralysed from the chest down, pursuing instead alternative ways to access the outdoors.

Over the last decade Karen has overcome many physical and mental barriers, completing many trips others believed impossible. These trips have included a remarkable 600-kilometre traverse of the Greenland ice cap, a month long journey across one the world's last great expanses of wilderness.

Where the temperatures drop below 40 degrees and the winds can reach 200 miles per hour, many seriously doubted Karen's chances of success, yet with grit, willpower and courage she proved it was possible.

You can read her amazing story in her best selling book ‘If You Fall: It's a New Beginning'.

Karen's story is inspiring and revitalizing; it will help everyone who reads it to respond positively, to overcome misfortune, and to strive for their dreams.

I'll leave the last word to Karen:

"What is life if it isn't an adventure?

"Disabled is a state of mind not a state of body, and I'm constantly amazed by what can be achieved if we set our heart and mind to it. It's all about finding belief, confidence, motivation and commitment, and of course, friends. Then there are no limits."

Reprogram Your Mind

Today, I have another question for you.

I'd like to ask ... Are you running the right program?

No, I'm not talking about computers here, although there are similarities. What I'm asking is, are you running the right program in your mind ... a way of thinking that is beneficial in your day-to-day life?

Think about it for a moment.

If life isn't going as you'd like ... if you're low on self-confidence ... if you have irrational fears ... if your mind stops you from living the dream ... then the chances are that you're not running the right program.

Just like a computer, if you run a program, which conflicts with the core operating system, then you're going to have problems. More often, that program will freeze and you just won't get very far.

Well, it's like that in life too.

The complex mind has a tendency to run on old, habitual programs that aren't always beneficial.

Fortunately, there is something you can do about it!

If you suspect that you're not running the right program, there is a fantastic package that can address these issues!

It's called The NLP Secret!

NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) has been around for some time and is a powerful technique. It is used by therapists and self-development gurus  alike to bring about an incredible life transformation.

Whether you have a fear of public speaking or have low self-confidence or have some other problem that is holding you back from reaching your full potential, you'll find that this system is highly effective at changing the way you think.

In fact, old, habitual mind scripts disintegrate to make way for the new, more positive program.

Many people have used The NLP Secret with life-changing results.

So, if you believe that your current mind program is holding you back from living a full and meaningful life, try The NLP Secret!

Visit the official site at www.nlpsecret.com

I'm sure you'll be impressed with the results!

The Lessons of Life

I am a fond believer that life teaches the best lessons.

School gives us a good grounding in the basics.

College and university give us a chance to specialize in the subjects that we choose to study.

But life ... life provides us with the ultimate experience, where theory is put into practice.

No matter what your age, every day offers a chance to learn something new.

The trick is to realize when a lesson is presenting itself.

And the biggest lesson opportunities come when we 'fail' or when something goes wrong.

When you experience a multitude of mistakes or 'failures', life is richer for it.

The experience you gain is far more interesting.

There is a saying that's worth remembering when you experience a failure:

'Lose - but don't lose the lesson'.

You see, on this journey, success begins when we realize that life is about learning and growing.

And we can only learn when we are willing to look at our experiences – in particular our failures – because there resides many a clue for our success!

So, seek out those lessons.

Ask yourself: 'What can I learn from this?'

And see what materializes!

The Path to Immortality

Just imagine living for ever.

Well, actually you can!

Don't believe me?

Well, let this ancient Chinese sage tell you how ...

Master Cheung was sat at his desk writing in his book of wisdom when his student Chang Tzu came to him with an urgent question.

Chang Tzu bowed and asked, 'Master ... please tell me ... how can I achieve immortality?'

The Master looked at his student, having heard the question so many times from generations of his students, and replied:

'It's easy! You must do good deeds for others and you will become immortal!'

Chang Tzu looked surprised. 'If that is all I have to do, I shall begin now.'

Over the next few years, Chang Tzu did good deeds wherever he went. Though poor, he gave what he had to help others. He enjoyed painting and sold his paintings so that others could benefit. People in his village and for miles around came to love and respect Chang Tzu, and in doing good deeds, Chang Tzu was surprised to find that he was happy.

On a visit to his Master, Chang Tzu said: 'I can not believe my good fortune. Apart from my promised immortality, the good deeds I do bring me happiness too.'

The Master smiled knowingly.

Then, one day, robbers from the North came to the village and attacked one of the families. Chang Tzu did all he could to defend his village and fought bravely. Single-handedly, he slain the robbers, but not before receiving a severe injury.

As he lay dying, Chang Tzu called for the Master and said. 'I thought you said that my good deeds will earn me immortality? ... So, why am I dying?'

The Master replied: 'Can you hear the villagers singing your name?'

Chang Tzu listened and heard the chants.

The Master said: 'Your name will be remembered for generations for your good deeds and your bravery. Stories of the great Chang Tzu will pass down through time. This is your immortality.'

Chang Tzu, realizing this, smiled in acceptance and closed his eyes.

So there you go!

The path to immortality – it's about doing good deeds – but you can also attain it by sharing your knowledge, talent, experience and wisdom.

Write a book, paint a picture, champion a good cause, campaign for peace, look after the needy ...

Whatever you do, be great!

Do your utmost and your name will be immortalized!

What Would You Like to Order?

I wonder, have you placed your order today?

(Huh? Visit www.advancedcosmicordering.com to discover what I'm talking about.)

Manifesting what you want is easier than you think and Cosmic Ordering is working wonders for many people!

Now, I wouldn't be surprised if you're thinking that this whole cosmic ordering is complete malarkey.

How can you possibly place an order to the cosmos and expect your wishes to come true?

Well, be prepared to be surprised!

The law of attraction really does work (though not in the way most people think). In fact, it can work with quite startling results.

And, you can only find out when you start embracing the concept and practice into your life!

I highly recommend the following courses:

The Quantum Cookbook and Advanced Cosmic Ordering.

These two courses complement each other and will help you start gaining results!

Listen to the Silence

I tend to work through the night as I find it often suits me perfectly.

And night time is often the quietest.

In fact, it's so quiet that I have spent many a moment just listening to the silence.

What!?? ... How can you listen to silence? ... What is there to hear?

As it happens, there is a lot to be heard in silence.

Out of the quiet, comes the essence of clarity.

Suddenly, ideas spring from nowhere ... and they come through very loud and very clear!

In the silence, you'll find the small voice of your dreams ... the voice that usually gets drowned out in the noisy hum-drum of every day life.

Plans unfold, solutions come to mind, visions appear ... and they all come from the silence.

It really is astounding.

So, when you next find a quiet moment ... away from the hustle and bustle ... quietly sit in the silence and listen to what's there.

You might just be surprised!

The Truth About Subliminal Messages

There's a lot of myth and hype surrounding "subliminal messages."

I remember an episode of Columbo where a subliminal message ultimately resulted in murder. A little exaggerated, perhaps.

But today, in this special video post, I'd like to chat about the TRUTH behind subliminals.

Just click play to listen:

My Trouble Tree

There's a wonderful story that always springs to mind whenever troubles appear.

If you don't already know this little inspirational tale, then it'll give you an idea what to do when you have some troubles of your own.

Here goes...

Bill hired a carpenter to help him with the restoration of his farmhouse. The carpenter's day wasn't going as planned. First he had a flat tyre, then his electric saw wouldn't work and then his old truck refused to start. Bill drove the carpenter home, who sat in the passenger seat in a troubled silence.

Once there, the carpenter invited Bill in to meet his family.

As they walked to the front door, Bill noticed that the carpenter briefly paused to touch the branches of a small tree. Then, as he opened the door, the carpenter suddenly transformed. With the biggest smile, he hugged his children and gave his wife a kiss. All the worry had disappeared from his previously troubled brow!

After staying for a drink, the carpenter walked Bill to his car.

hey passed the tree, and Bill, being curious, asked him why he'd touched the tree earlier.

"Oh, that's my trouble tree," he replied." I know I can't help having troubles on the job, but one thing's for sure - troubles don't belong in the house with my wife and the children. So I just hang them on the tree every night when I come home. Then in the morning I pick them up again."

He paused. "Funny thing is," he smiled, "when I come out in the morning to pick 'em up, there ain't nearly as many as I remember hanging up the night before."

What a brilliant outlook!

So ... whenever troubles trouble you, why not hang them up outside the door.

Don't let them linger for any longer than they should!

Here's wishing you a wonderful day!

Dream a Fantastic Dream

I love taking a long, fast-paced walk each day.

Not only is it good for the body ... but it's also a chance to exercise the mind too.

When I'm out walking alone, my imagination has total freedom.

Perhaps it's the fresh air, or just the simple rhythm of walking, but my imagination gives rise to ideas, solutions and visions ... in some cases, perhaps glimpses of the future even!

Making time for the imagination is important. If you suppress it, all you'll get is nightmares.

So, when was the last time you "imagined"?

Were you scolded in your school days for having 'your head in the clouds'?

Are you often told that you're a day-dreamer?

Your imagination is one of life's most precious gifts ... and it needs to be given the space it requires.

Albert Einstein once said: 'Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.'

Perfectly true!

Without imagination, we certainly wouldn't have the great works of art, music, books, architecture or science.

Without imagination, there would be nothing.

So, give yourself time for day-dreams. Let your imagination run wild for a while ... and as often as possible.

After all, reality is the awakening of your dreams.

Have an inspiring day!

The Streets of London

Some years ago, a Bosnian doctor friend of mine uttered a few words that had more of an impact than she could possibly imagine.

Ksenija said:

"The problem with the world these days... is that people are bored."

They've become too familiar with "good living" and "freedom." They've gotten all too used to fresh running water and central heating. They've become downright complacent with comfort.

Suddenly the things which really matter are whether you've put an extra inch on the waistline, or that little crack in the bathroom tile.

Today, I want to jolt you back to reality.

I want you to understand - really understand - that you are living in glorious times.

I want you to appreciate - really appreciate - that you are living a fantastic life in a fantastic society, no matter how much you may disagree.

This evening I watched The Pianist - and when you truly grasp the sort of Jewish persecution that went on during WWII, you suddenly realize the freedom you don't even realize you have right now.

The problem with the world these days... is that people are bored.

Are you bored? With life? With it's many comforts? With safety?

And if you are -

Then snap out of it and get back to appreciating what REALLY matters.

Life. Love. Family. Friends. People. Hope. Spirit.

These are the things which make our fleeting life worth living.

And when you're ready, click the play button below and listen to this song to remind you how lucky you really are:

Brarbera Who?

Oh no!

This evening, FedEx delivered the proof copy of "The 18 Rules of Happiness" - the audio CD version of my new book.

It's been recorded, edited, the works. And let me tell you: it looks fantabulous.

I randomly played a track, and listened:

"And that was a quote... from Brarbara De Angelis."

Huh?

Rewind.

"Brarbara De Angelis" - ??!

You must be kidding me.

We got to this late stage in the editing process, and I'm saying a simple English name - as though I'm a tipsy blighter?!

So I worried and worried. The usual OCD kicks in. I logically review the time-cost implication: it'll take me a couple of hours, and delay the whole release by a few weeks in order to correct the error.

Hmm. No biggie.

If I rushed, maybe I could get it down in 30 minutes. And the delay is no major issue.

Then I remembered a quality piece of advice from my friend Nick Daws, in his course, "How to Write Any Book in 28 Days."

He plainly states:

"Good enough is good enough."

Sometimes striving for perfection stops us from ever getting anything out there to the world.

Sometimes we're so set on becoming number one, we fail to realize how far forward we are already.

In the world of business, I've discovered that...

Fate favours brevity.

The quicker you act and react, the more successful you're likely to be.

Little errors like that will always bug and annoy me. But eventually I'll forget about them - and I can learn to be happy with the work I've produced.

Not only that, most people will never even notice a problem. As my friend Mark Sandler often reminds me:

"Don't point out your errors. Nobody notices."

Are YOU holding out for perfection in your life?

Is that striving for perfection holding YOU back from really moving forward?

Are YOU pointing your errors out too much to people?

If so... STOP.

Good enough is good enough. Most people will never notice anyway.

Frick it - and get on with life.
