That's all you need to do!
As soon as you've completed these steps, within an hour, you'll receive the download link for my new book, sent direct through Twitter.
It's EASY - and you'll get to save $$$, PLUS you'll get access to the MP3 version, PLUS you'll begin enjoying greater happiness and freedom in 2010, too!
What are you waiting for?
Get started ASAP - just follow the instructions above!
The task was to answer questions about writing - then tag other writers to do the same.
So, here goes, Nick:
1. Which words do you use too much in your writing?
I used to say "Basically" too much. Then "And" to start a sentence. Then "But."
Now I just use too many words full stop ;)
2. Which words do you consider overused in stuff you read?
All the new social media phrases: Twit-anything, Web 2.0 (it's already here: get over it), improper spelling/capitalisation of anything technical. ("web," "internet," "E-Mail," etc.)
3. What's your favourite piece of writing by you?
How self-loathing! :)
It's always the last thing I wrote. So probably this article!
I really liked The Secret Art of Self-Development book, which was released in May. I wrote that in just a few weeks, part-time - but it really captures the essence of my logical, "spiritual" views.
5. Regrets, do you have a few? Is there anything you wish you hadn't written?
I look back at some of my earlier "humorous" writing and it's quite obvious how my wit (or former lack thereof) has developed!
I regret not finding time to read more, especially the classics. And I really want to find time to write my big next book: my true passion, all about spirituality vs religion. (Watch out for a follow-on documentary too!)
6. How has your writing made a difference? What do you consider your most important piece of writing?
In the early days, I wrote a few computer programming books. I received some great feedback, with people stating it was the only coding book they'd ever taken on vacation with them. Which was nice!
These days, most of the feedback I receive follows the self-development writing - particularly here at Karl Blog.com.
The feedback is superb, and I'm thrilled that the words I throw down every other day really makes a difference to people's lives all across the globe.
7. Name three favourite words
Inspiration. Happiness. Mojito.
8. ...And three words you're not so keen on
Annoyed. Slow. "Server-down."
9. Do you have a writing mentor, role model or inspiration?
I often think that the reason I got involved in writing was an obsession in early-life with "Murder, She Wrote."
I suspect I have a lot to thank Angela Lansbury for!
10. What's your writing ambition?
To live in Maine, write mystery stories to international acclaim - while still having time to solve the plentiful murders in my sleepy, local town.
But while I'm in the UK, I really want to finish my magnus opum on logic, life and spirituality - followed by the documentary I mentioned.
11. Plug alert! List any work you would like to tell your readers about.
In accordance with Linda's rules (see below), I'm going to contact the recent authors I've interviewed at Writers FM - including Edwina Currie, Joanne Harris, Bernard Cornwell and Lucinda Hawksley.
Let's hope they can get involved! :)
The Offiial Rules If you have time to do this meme, then please link to my post here, then link to three to five other bloggers and pass it on, asking them to answer your questions and link back to you. You can add, remove or change one question as you go (as I did with Question 4 - feel free to revert to Linda's original if you like). You absolutely do not have to be what you may think of as a "published" or "successful" writer to respond to this meme. Have fun, and I look forward to reading more responses!
On Monday, I launched three powerful self-help books - simultaneously across the globe.
Not only that, but I also released the audio CD versions too.
They've all been selling like crazy!
And just so you know, every penny of profit made on the titles will be donated straight to charity. So by grabbing a copy, you're doing good for yourself - and for others, too.
Every day this week, I've been posting messages about the books - but don't worry, it's the last day, and the messages stop HERE!
In today's post, I simply want to remind you of those all-important links - so that you can discover these books for yourself.
This book replaces the need for every self-help book you've ever bought. Throw away The Secret, your religious texts, and cancel those far-flung courses and retreats. THIS is your guide to true freedom and happiness.
Purchase it from Amazon USA, Amazon UK - or from your favourite book retailer, by searching for the ISBN 978-0-9559935-0-3.
From simple daily strategies, to changes in perspective, to simple shifts in your diet, this guide will turn you into the happiest person you know.
You can order it from Amazon USA, Amazon UK - or any bookstore, by quoting the ISBN 978-0-9559935-1-0.
Live in the USA? Oh, you lucky thing. You can also purchase the pocket guide too, using the Amazon links above - or grab your copy of the audio CD or MP3 version.
"The Little Book of Inspiration" is for those readers that love the inspiring little quotes I regularly throw at this blog... but want to take them home!
It includes my own personal introduction, and over 250 of my favourite inspirational quotes to help you get through the day - and, ultimately, become a better person.
It's been a wonderful week, and I'm thrilled that my books have been so well received.
I'd like to thank everyone that has helped me put them together - especially Norris Blaxall, Carol Anne Strange, Mel McIntyre - as well as all the early reviewers.
Thanks also to Mark Sandler, who put up with me scribbling down ideas when I should've been enjoying my holiday. And to Cowboy Mike for helping keep things running, when I was in a world of my own.
And most importantly to you - for giving me the motivation to write it in the first place.
Hope you enjoy - and here's sending you my love! :)
It’s the desire to find your own freedom. To connect with your own sense of worth, and integrity, and happiness. To enjoy abundance.
But for most people, self-development remains just that. A quest. A journey. They never reach that point of realization, when all of the pieces fit together and they can finally stop “seeking.”
They watched What the Bleep and The Secret. They attended the overseas holistic healing workshops. They bought the costly four-digit CD courses. They continued seeking, but they never found.
Their quest was honourable – and yet the search for self-development, the desire for freedom, was left unsatisfied.
This book is where the journey ends.
It’s a simple collection of 16 “pep talks” to help you reconnect with your own true freedom, and to remove all of the crazy “rules” that you’ve built up so far during your journey.
It’s a book that will remove your own self-limitations, and break down any imaginary walls that are stopping you achieving greatness. It’ll clear the grey clouds in your world, and show you the sun that was always shining just behind them.
This commonsense book will reconnect you with your own spirituality, your happiness, and your wonder for the world.
That’s my promise.
The self-development world is crammed full of seekers.
You, however, are about to become a finder.
So, read on, and enjoy!
Karl Moore, December 2008 Writing from a beach in Phuket, Thailand www.karlmoore.com
Now, this simple book encapsulates everything I truly believe about self-development... about happiness... about freedom.
It really is the results of my life's work in this industry.
Perhaps more significantly, I don't make a single penny on any of the sales of the book. All profits from the book will be donated straight to American and UK charities.
That's because this is a true work of passion and integrity.
It's a realistic, honest, logical look at self-development - and how YOU can achieve it, without all of the nonsensical hype you find scattered around the self-help industry.
Forget wishing, dreaming, divination, The Secret, religious rituals, What the Bleep - and all the rest of it.
Get straight to the person best qualified to uncover your own true self-development. You.
Now, I've already started receiving some awesome feedback about the books - and BELOW, I've included just some of the testimonials that I've received for "The Secret Art of Self-Development."
Check them out below.
And when you're ready, grab your copy of the book from Amazon USA or Amazon UK.

"This is a wholeheartedly enjoyable and enlightening read, seemingly simple, yet positively profound. Karl’s book effortlessly tackles topics such as taking responsibility, letting go, overcoming, intention, accepting change, and being truly happy. Karl debunks many self-help myths and illuminates deep themes in a straightforward and often light-hearted way and I love the easy to follow exercises and will carry on using them in my day-to-day life - highly recommended!!" – Johnny London, www.affirmationstation.com
"I found myself nodding as I read this book, as if some deeper part of me had known this material all along yet was unable to grasp the ease of which it could be applied. Thank you Karl for introducing me to a whole new part of myself and unleashing the power that I have within. This book takes the best secrets from all areas of self development and packs them into one easy read." - John Derrick, www.johnderrick.com
"This book is a guide to finding your own path to self-fulfilment - and not just blindly following the latest fad or guru. That’s just one of the teachings I learned from this book. People are all different (even weird!), so there is no one 'true way' that fits everybody.” - Chris Lloyd, www.ultrabraintraining.com
“I've just finished reading this book - and highly recommend you do the same. It says more in 150 pages than most do in 15,000. Rules are clearly stated and explained so that you can put them into practice immediately and best of all - simply.” - Dick Ingersoll, www.applying-the-law-of-attraction.com
"Self improvement, I have found, unfolds beautifully all on it's own - if you let it. Karl Moore has taken Occam's razor to the whole business of self-development and delivers it how it's supposed to be: simple and practical. The realizations in this book are powerful for that reason and will undoubtedly resonate with many, many 'seekers'. If only this book had come into my life years ago! Excellent job, Karl!" - Daniel Topp, www.vastwellnesscenter.com

This is spiritual food for the soul; feed regularly and you will become nourished with fulfilment in your life. Your thirst will be sated, your heart will sing with joy and your soul will reach a peace only once before thought impossible. I believe there is a time for everything and everything has it’s time: and it is time for you to read The Secret Art Of Self-Development. Thank you Karl - it will be beside my bed from now on!" - Valery Coburn, www.inspirationplus.net
“I always thought that the trouble with life, is that it doesn't come with a manual. This book fixes that problem. It's the most practical, inspirational, and easy to read 'user guide' for life I've ever found. This book is bad news for expensive self help gurus; everything you need to know about being happy and successful is distilled into these pages.” - Harvey Walsh, www.daytradingfreedom.com
“Searching for a better life? Look no further than this book. Karl Moore opens the door to your freedom, happiness and success, offering easily accessible guidance in a friendly conversational tone. Forget all the jargon and typical nonsense that often surrounds personal growth. Karl helps you find empowerment to live the life you want. This book is, without doubt, a total revelation and the only guide you'll need for your self-development journey. Absolutely brilliant!” - Carol Anne Strange, www.carolannestrange.com

“The more fundamental a truth, the simpler it is. We search for answers in complex theories and yet if we throw away our blinkers, the truth is staring us in the face. The ‘blinkers’ are limiting beliefs and false preconceptions: the things ‘everybody knows’ that are simply wrong. This easy to understand manual explains how you can get back in touch with what simply ‘is’ - and then all things become possible.” - Peter Shepherd, www.trans4mind.com
“Karl is one of the most spiritual people I know. He’s known in the industry as the Bubbling Buddha, and I highly recommend his work.” – David Riklan, www.selfgrowth.com
“My 13 year old daughter once mentioned that life was effortless. It was a word that stuck with me. I relished it. Effortless. And it can be. Life can be effortless. Sometimes we need a helping hand to remember how to make it so and this book is a fantastic place to start. In a series of easy-to-read pep talks in the author’s delightfully fresh and down to earth style, Karl becomes the friend you always need when the going gets tough. He’s the type of real friend who doesn’t collude with your stuff, but asks you to simply step into your personal best, and shows you how. An excellent book for any seeker who, as Karl puts it, wants to become a finder. Wonderful!” - Billie Dean, www.billiedean.com
“We all want happiness, rich relationships, abundant and fulfilling lives, vibrant health and a winning mindset. The access to all these gifts is available to us for the asking if we are willing to commit to the path of personal development and allow each day to provide us with countless opportunities for developing our inner wisdom, the potential for maximizing our personal effectivess and the art of manifesting our dream lives intentionally. This book is an insightful guide to uncovering your inner guru and discovering what it takes to lead your best life. If you want to be your best and are ready to live a life without limits, read this book” – Dr. Joe Rubino, www.centerforpersonalreinvention.com

“Why is success so hard? There are thousands of self-help websites, books, courses, retreats, CDs and videos dealing with the subject and we still search and search for self-development. Well, that's a good thing, but it doesn't have to be hard. In fact, it can be pretty easy when you’re holding a book like this one. There are no 10 steps to follow, no lists to write, no mountain to climb... just a way to 'be' and Karl shows just how it’s done... easily.” - Tom Murasso, www.borntomanifest.com
“I love that this book hits the nail on the head, talking about areas of life that when focused on positively will indeed turn your life around. Karl reminds us that change is constant, and it is not to be feared. That YOU are in the driving set so consciously set your intentions, as your life is a reflection of where your focus is. And that happiness is a choice that is available to everyone. If you struggle to believe that, then you MUST read his book, as you will be convinced and more by the end of it!” - Arabella Jolie, www.whyte-witch.com
“The aim of self-development is to recognise who we truly are, and how we’ve always been free of all that constrains our creativity and happiness. Karl Moore has given us a straightforward guide to achieving that. He delivers 16 life-changing steps on this re-evolutionary path - which we can each begin to take today.” - Johnathan Brooks, www.spiritbearcoaching.com
“I read this book all through in one sitting - then went back to the start and read it all again. Like all great teachers, Karl Moore has the knack of explaining sometimes complex ideas in a way that is not just understandable but actually enjoyable. The Secret Art of Self-Development is essential reading for anyone who wants to get more out of life both materially and spiritually.” - Nick Daws, www.mywritingblog.com

The book is humorous, filled with linguistic extravagance, sheer inventiveness and deep insights – with simple yet profound delivery.” – Evane Abbassi, www.alternatedisputeresolutioninc.com
"Karl uses a simplistic style to pull back the curtain and expose what happiness and self-development are truly all about. Forget all the self-help hype - You will learn how easy it can be to accept, let go and move on to a happier, more fulfilling life. Great read Karl, thanks!” - Gene Anger, www.best-self-help-sites.com
“I have known and have had the pleasure of working with Karl for about four years now within the self-development arena. I must tell you that if there are significantly more genuine and more inspiring individuals in this field today I haven’t met them... and let me tell you I’ve met just about everybody. It’s no accident that he was hand selected as one of the 12 key teachers in The Meta Secret movie and the reasoning for which is 100% clear within only a few seconds of reading this book. Karl is a true visionary and I’m very thankful to call him a friend.” - Joe DePalma, www.readysetrise.com

On Monday, I launched three fantastic self-help books.
Three books guaranteed to change your life - all released simultaneously, across the globe. I'm pretty sure it was the first time that's ever been done.
He wanted to interview me for his site - and chat about how I'd worked to build two highly successful business, with one involved in some very interesting "talks" right now.
(More on that over the coming couple of months!)
Initially, I turned it down.
I'm a self-development guy. I'm about happiness, spirituality, freedom - not figures, balance sheets and taxation.
Then, when I realized that Mike wanted to focus on precisely that side... the inspiration, the self-development... behind the business, including my own life history... I cautiously agreed.
And we had a FANTASTIC interview.
So... here it is... exclusively for you...
My interview with Mike Giles, to be published as part of the "Standing on the Shoulders of Giants" series.
Part 1:
Part 2:
(Can't see the audio players above? You're reading via RSS or e-mail. Visit www.karlblog.com to listen to the full thing.)
I've been working on no less than *three* exciting new books - The Secret Art of Self-Development, The 18 Rules of Happiness, and The Little Book of Inspiration.
They'll be available in under two months - but here's a little preview to show you how it's all coming along!
I write this blog post today from a troubled Thailand - where I am currently stranded, after anti-Government protestors took over the two main airports in Bangkok.
It'll all sort out over the next few days - peacefully, I hope - however I've spent the past few days waiting to return home.
Now, as regular readers know, I've been planning on writing a couple of new self-development books, which I intend to release early next year.
This morning, I decided to put pen to paper (or rather, finger to keyboard) and tap out my first draft. While hanging around.
I spent a couple of disjointed hours working - between swimming in the ocean and relaxing in the various local bars.
And I've already finished over 40% of the final book.
Absolutely amazing.
My first book took a full month to write. My second took a month working just evenings. It looks like the next couple will take a week in total. If that.
How is it possible to knock out a book so quickly?
Well... it's not what you know... it's who you know!
If you've got a book inside that you'd like to get out - and quickly - I'd like to recommend a great friend of mine.
Now I can't recommend this course enough. I really can't.
His many "secret" methods - especially "blueprinting" - work absolute wonders. He'll enable you to creatively write a WONDERFUL book - working just minutes a day.
So if you've got a book burning inside of you, fiction or non-fiction, let me recommend Nick's course to you:
I've finally removed the headset - and made three fantastic new interviews live, for the Writers FM and Self Dev Radio stations.
These hot new interviews have just entered the system...
Jean Macleod - The 100-year old romance author chats about writing her 130 novels, life during the war - and the secret to longevity! - Download from Writers FM
Francine Silverman - Author of "Book Marketing from A-Z" and editor of the Book Promotion Newsletter chats with me about getting your book into the spotlight - Download from Writers FM
Steve Ryals - Ex-drug addict and alcoholic turned minister and self-help sensation, Steve Ryals talks about his book "Drunk with Wonder" - and his inner transformation - Download from Self Dev Radio
You can download each of these now using the links above.
And remember that just a couple of days ago, I also posted the interview with Joanne Harris, author of Chocolat - which you can stream live by clicking here.
Incidentally, someone recently mailed and asked how long each interview takes to actually "do."
Well, I timed it. And for every hour of audio, around ten hours go into research, preparation and editing.
Sometimes I wish I could be on the listening end ;)
The English language is beautiful. With it's many twists and turns, clauses and caveats, it's gloriously complex... a true devilish beast to admire.
And if you've ever wondered whether it's "between you and me" or "between you and I" ... or "our team are" or "our team is" ... or "grandmother" or "Grandmother" ... then I have some great news.
Nick has just released his latest course, "Essential English," and he's launched it online at:
Inside the course, he answers ALL of these questions -- and many more. As a seasoned writer, there's not usually much I don't know about English writing style.
But it's fair to say that Nick's course certainly taught me a thing or three.
Definitely a great little buy. So, check it out - and prepare to be impressed.
And that's the EXACT same number of posts that MyWriters Circle celebrated hitting today. One post per piece of popcorn!
As some of you may know, My Writers Circle is an online community of writers I founded back in April 2005.
It's a brilliant forum, and is led by best-selling author Nick Daws.
Just last week, the forum actually went down, THAT'S how popular it's become.
With over 115 average posts PER DAY since the forum started, eleven very active boards, well over 5000 members, and over 250 people online at any one time...
... There's no wonder that this forum now demands it's own server!
And, today, it hit it's 100,000th post.
So, CONGRATULATIONS to My Writers Circle, and all of it's beautiful members, for making the community such a great place to be!
Some of you know that I setup MyWriters Circle way back in 2005.
It's a popular international writers circle with an incredibly friendly feel. It's headed by best-selling author Nick Daws, who does a fantastic job of keeping everything running smoothly.
Well, one of the site moderators, Lin, has been working on putting together the first My Writers Circle conference!
It'll be held in Holland and she's currently collecting details of those interested!
Through my little baby, the My Writers Circle site, I'll be helping to choose winners in a new flash fiction competition.
If there's talent somewhere between your fingers and the keyboard, then check out the following post by best-selling author Nick Daws, where he introduces the competition:
He was the first guy I ever interviewed online at Writers FM...
... And by popular demand, HE'S BACK!
Yesterday, I spent my afternoon chatting with Nick, where I posed a whole bundle of questions that have flown into the station following our last interview.
I've done a few interviews before online - but over the past year, I've typically been the one asking the questions. Which, I hasten to add, is much easier!
If you're a writer, check out www.writersgiveaway.com. By subscribing to Trent's newsletter, you'll receive over $3000 in writing goodies. There's no obligation -- and you can unsubscribe right away if you wish.

It never ceases to amaze me how much my writing is whored about.
Three weeks ago, I stumbled across a ten-year old article of mine online, while searching for the lyrics to Mas Que Nada.
And just last week, I crossed a guide to online marketing in the search results... while searching for a specific breed of sheep, to help complete a crossword puzzle.
Then, about ten minutes ago, I was searching for a pre-made VB .NET text processing function... and I actually stumbled across an entire chapter from one of my books!
Many visitors to my main site come from the programming world, and I realized that I've never mentioned my books here on the blog.
So, let's change that now...
I've written exactly two books on Visual Basic .NET development. The books have survived a good few print runs and have been translated into a couple of languages.
Now, when I entered the technology development industry, there were exactly two books I wanted to buy -- but weren't available.
Firstly, a guide that took you from knowing absolutely zippo, through to being a pretty hot VB .NET programmer. No publisher offered a tutorial-style book that spoke in plain ENGLISH.
Secondly, I wanted a book containing all of those crazy chunks of code developers spend HOURS trying to write. Stuff that would take your programming to the next level -- and make your next application "supercool" (as I used to say in those days).
The books have received some fantastic reviews. And if you're interested, you can read a couple of the interviews I made when they were released... such as this one, or this one.
There were a couple of others... but, heck, I'm disorganized.
Now, it's been three years now since my last computer book was released and I don't have plans for any more. I've been approached with a number of offers -- but at this time, I'm retiring from the tech programming world.
Both of the books are still totally up-to-date however... and will turn you into a programming guru WITHOUT having to read a dozen 1500-page draft excluders.
So if you're interested, check them out: "Karl Moore’s Visual Basic .NET" (Amazon: USA, UK) and "The Ultimate VB .NET Code Book" (Amazon USA, UK).
Big thanks to everyone that has supported my writing work, and especially those that have bought my book(s).
